Back during the pandemic was tough for us. As an entertainer we had to come up with entertainment that was always better performed live and switch it to being in front of a camera. Here is a routine put together, by Zoomalata, where he clowns around with an electric air pump and balloons. In the end he created a huge giant dog. Enjoy the Show!

Live Shows in Wisconsin Continue
We will be continuing Zoomalata’s Comedy Show in 2025. Summertime especially is nice for Zoomalata encourages kids and families to read with his Summer Reading Program show at Public libraries in Wisconsin.
What does a family entertainer do in his off hours. While Zoomalata loves to create new things and one of those is musical videos with beautiful scenery. Here is one that shows beautiful blue skies with fun, upbeat music to watch. We hope you enjoy it.
Communication is key when hiring an entertainer, especially for a child’s birthday party. Here are 10 topics a mom would likely want to discuss with a potential entertainer for her child’s birthday party:
1. Experience and Speciality: “Do you have experience working with children this age? Do you have any specialties, like magic shows, balloon animals, face painting, or specific themes?”
2. Party Length and Packages: “How long are your typical performances? Do you offer different packages with varying lengths and activities?”
3. Cost and Payment: “What is your fee for a [length of party] party? What does that include? Do you require a deposit? How do you accept payment?”
4. Interaction and Engagement: “How do you involve the birthday child and their guests? Do you have strategies for handling different personality types and keeping everyone engaged?”
5. Content Appropriateness: “Can you tailor your performance to be age-appropriate for 10-year-olds? Are there any themes or jokes I should be aware of?”
6. Equipment and Setup: “What equipment do you bring? Do you need any specific space or setup for your performance? Will you need access to an electrical outlet?”
7. Insurance and Safety: “Do you have liability insurance? Are your activities and materials safe for children?”
8. Arrival Time and Setup: “When will you arrive to set up before the party? How much time do you need?”
9. Backup Plan: “What happens if you are sick or unable to make it to the party? Do you have a backup plan or a network of other performers?
10 Specific Interests: “My child is really into [current interest, e.g., dinosaurs, superheroes, science experiments]. Can you incorporate this into your performance?
11 Space and Logistics: “Where will the performance take place? Indoors or outdoors? Do you have any preferences or requirements regarding the performance area?”
12 Music and Sound: “Do you use music during your performance? Can I provide a playlist, or do you have your own? Will you need a sound system, or do you provide your own?”
BONUS: Allergies or Sensitivities: “Are any of the materials you use common allergens (like latex balloons, face paints, etc.)? Are there any sensitivities I should be aware of?
By discussing these topics, the mom can ensure that the entertainer is a good fit for her child’s party and that everyone has a fun and memorable experience.
It’s always better to over-communicate than under-communicate when planning a party!
Meet Sherman the Magic Bunny. He is one of Zoomalata’s sidekicks and he has his own brand of tricks. Sherman has been delighting audiences since 2013 when he joined Zoomalata’s comedy show. While Sherman is a puppet, don’t tell him that. He thinks he is a real bunny. Sherman enjoys playing tricks on Zoomalata, acting silly, laughing and golf. His favorite movie is Hop which he enjoys watching on his big screen TV which he keeps in his hat. At the bottom of Sherman’s hat is his dressing room.
One of Sherman’s favorite tricks involves a dinosaur, but not in the way you might think! Sherman begins to wrestle the dinosaur only for Zoomalata to find out the dinosaur is really a squirt gun. After a warning to not squirt Zoomalata, Sherman does just that…he squirts Zoomalata. The kids in the audience erupt in giggles as Zoomalata gets soaked.
Despite his mischievous antics, Sherman is a real crowd-pleaser at heart. He loves to make people laugh and the sound of their applause is music to his floppy ears. During the show you will often see Sherman clapping his little paws, this is a signal for the audience to clap for him. And when they clap, Sherman’s heart grows in size. It makes him smile real big too.
Do you have time to hear one more of Sherman’s routines? Yes, Good! It is called “Balloon Blowup” Sherman comes out of his hat with a twelve inch round balloon in his paws and says that he is going to show everyone how to blow up this balloon. This makes everyone curious. How in the world is a Bunny puppet going to blow up a balloon. The answer is simple for Sherman. He goes back into his hat. What does he bring out? A stick of dynamite!
Everyone gets a little frantic…ok…just Zoomalata gets frantic. The kids are laughing and pointing at Sherman and Zoomalata. Finally, Zoomalata stops running around and notices that it isn’t real dynamite only sticks of wood painted red. Sherman starts clapping and you know what happens next…the audience breaks out in applause.
After a show Sherman has worked up an appetite so he finishes up with an iced tea and a slice of pepperoni pizza with jalapenos on it.
